Often what you get is a couple of  mediocre "I could have done this myself" days with someone who has never worked in a dealership - and plans on never seeing you again.

Love it or hate it:

At least 90% of training is selling the benefit of the material to trainees. We can train until the cows come home, but it doesn't count until they've gotten in front of a salesperson to sell it to them.  To bring them from "I would rather be doing anything but this!" to "What's in it for me?" to "This is great, do you have other recommendations while you're here?"  A lot of training is good, but a lot of ineffective training is bad. It wastes time and makes it harder for effective training to, well, effect. Let's put an end to the days of ineffective training all together!
